Our Child Psychologist is on family leave, returning first half of 2026!
Our psychologist, Katelyn Solley, is trained in Educational and Developmental Psychology and has an interest in journeying alongside parents to help children live a fulfilling life.
Katelyn has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (Honours) from UQ
- Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) from QUT
- AHPRA Registration Number: PSY0002259557
Outside of work, you will find Katelyn chasing after her young children, attempting to maintain a garden, and engaging in a variety of crafting pursuits.
Katelyn has experience working with children with a variety of difficulties including:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Attentional difficulties
- School difficulties
- Improving emotion regulation and awareness
- Managing transitions (e.g. moving, transitioning from primary school to high school)
Katelyn works with both children and their parents using an attachment-focused approach. She uses a variety of evidence-based therapy techniques, including cognitive behaviour therapy, and is often found using a play-based approach which can include books, colouring, and toys while working with children. Katelyn uses Circle of Security concepts to help parents gain greater understanding of their child and be able to support their emotional needs.
Katelyn is a trained Circle of Security Parenting facilitator and a trained Circle of Security Parenting – Classroom facilitator. She can facilitate these programs both individually and in small groups, either in person or via telehealth.
Katelyn is also a Board Approved Supervisor and able to provide supervision for other psychologists. Please contact Camino Counselling for more information if you are interested.
