The Camino Women’s Journey is a passage inwards, a process of discovery, of uncovering more of who we are without all the roles that we perform in life. The adventure begins with a weekend retreat in February and continues throughout the year with six two-hour sessions that can be attended in person in Redcliffe or online via zoom.
The journey is for a small group of women desiring a deeper connection with themselves and others. While we will commence it as individuals, as we gather through the year we will notice the gentle and powerful gift of sitting in a circle together as women.
We will learn how to listen deeply, both to ourselves and to others. We will notice the precious threads of our own life journey and that, perhaps surprisingly, they are similar to one another. It is in hearing the stories of others that we can lovingly discover and embrace who we really are. By the end of the journey we will feel a deep, sacred connection with each other and have uncovered some of our true self; who we really are.
The first step on the journey is the retreat, which commences with dinner on Friday 13th February and concludes at 3.30pm on Sunday 15th February. The retreat is held at the beautiful Santa Teresa Spirituality Centre, Ormiston. Accommodation is in individual, airconditioned and ensuited rooms and all meals are provided (including dietary requirements).
While the retreat is held at a centre owned by a religious body, the material is not based on any particular religious faith or viewpoint, and all caring perspectives are accommodated.
You might have noticed something spark for you as you read the 2025 participants’ reflections and you would like to have deeper connections with a small number of women in a safe environment. And perhaps you have arrived at a place in your life (whatever age you may be) where you have been questioning who you are.
The all-inclusive cost for the Camino Women’s Journey will be $490, payable at time of booking. This includes the three day/two night retreat with all meals and private accommodation, plus the six circles held throughout the year.
